Need Inexpensive Trunk Bike Rack for 2006 Acura TSX

Question:

I am looking for a low cost bike rack, single bike carrier, for my 2006 Acura TSX. I just got into biking and at this point do not know the extent to which I wil carry this, so therfore not looking to invest in expenseive Thule... Looking for advice/ options Thanks

Trunk bike carriers are available in 2- or 3-bike sizes. A 2-bike carrier will give you some extra capacity if you ever need it for a second bike, but even if you are transporting only one bicycle the extra space on the carrier will make it easier to load and unload. I have linked an article concerning how to select a bike carrier and this may be helpful to you.

The most cost-effective Thule option we have for your 2006 TSX is the Thule Passage 2, part # TH910XT. Installation instructions are attached along with links to two videos on this product.

TheThule Passage 2 trunk bike rack safely transports 2 bikes to your favorite spot. It securely mounts to the rear of your vehicle using the Fit Dial adjustment system and multiple straps. Anti-sway cradles hold bikes by the frame and reduce movement while driving.

To install this rack on your 2006 TSX, you would place the top clips in the gap at the front edge of the top of the trunk, hatch or door. Then the lower arm of the carrier should be positioned on the upper tier of the bumper. Finally, you would set the lower clips/hooks in tow loop located in the center of the vehicle behind the bumper. This rack is also available in the 3 bike version # TH911XT. These racks do not come with locks, but they can be added.
