Question:

The company that sell these dollys apparently cant get the Braking systems any longer and never in stock. I want to convert my brakes. Can I?

More than likely you can switch your brakes from surge hydraulic to electric. However, I am unable to tell you if the Electric Trailer Brake Kit # AKEBRK-35-SA is going to fit or not without certain measurements. To ensure that you get the correct hub assembly you need to know what spindle you have on your trailer. In order to do that you can either get the inner and outer bearing numbers from a hub or use a dial or digital caliper to get the exact measurements of the spindle. The measurements needed are the parts of the spindle where the bearings ride. I have included an article that helps clarify what is needed. You also need to know the bolt pattern of your hubs to ensure that you get a hub that is compatible with your wheels. If you don't know your bolt pattern I have attached an article that helps you know how to determine and measure for this information. Unfortunately the tire size doesn't necessarily tell me your bolt pattern.
Once you have this information you can either use the link I have included to use the filters on our page that has all of the hub assemblies or you can get back to me with the information and I can help you track down the correct assembly.
