How Many Tires Should Have Tire Chains on Them for a 2003 Ford F-350

Question:

I have a 2003 Ford F350 6.0 PSD 4 door long bed 4x4 with 305/70/16 tires. Would it be beneficial for chains on all tires for maximum traction on snowy mountain roads?

I looked up the online manual for your 2003 Ford F-350 and it doesn't place any restrictions on what tires chains have to be used on. It does state to check and make sure that the chains won't come into contact with any wiring, brake lines, or fuel lines though so as long as that doesn't look to be an issue I'd say go ahead and put the pewag All Square Snow Tire Chains for Wide-Base and Dual Tires # PWE3231S on all 4 tires to get the best traction. I do recommend using Adjusters like part # PW105 to help keep the chains snug against the tires as you head down the road.

I also like to suggest practicing putting the chains on once you get them. It's easier to install chains for a second time so it's nice to know what you're doing prior to being out in the elements.
