The Westin HDX Grille Guard for the 2009 Ford F-150, part # 57-2505, is a bolt-on product but it is also necessary to trim some of the plastic air dam. I have forwarded the installation instructions in a separate email. Tools required for installation include an 18mm socket and ratchet, and a torque wrench.
The installation process requires removal of the air dam (and factory tow hooks, and trimming of the tow hook pocket, if present). The tow hooks can be re-installed over the lower mounting bracket. Before re-installing the air dam it must be trimmed on both sides. Please refer to the color photo in the instructions (figure 10) to see where the trimming is required. All mounting hardware is included.
