Are Timbren Rubber Springs or SumoSprings Better For Reducing Rear Sag On a 2022 Ram 1500?
Question:
When I add a load to my 2022 Ram 1500 I get a lot of rear end sag. I want to add something to help reduce the sag but I do not want Air Springs. Are Timbren or SumoSprings better for this?

Expert Reply:
The Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TDR1500DS or # TDR1500DQ are going to provide more stability and reduce more of the sag that you are getting on your 2022 Ram 1500. As these are more rigid and provide more stability when loaded you also may experience a more harsh ride when you are unloaded.
The Timbren System # TDR1500DS will only fit regular cab models of your Ram that do not have the factory air suspension system. They are rated for 6,000lbs of capacity and are compatible with an in bed gooseneck or 5th wheel hitch. These will not increase your load capacity they only make it safer to drive with the load.
The Timbren System # TDR1500DQ will fit the crew or quad cab models that also do not have the factory air suspension system. These are rated for 8,600lbs of capacity and are compatible with an in bed gooseneck or 5th wheel hitch. These also will not increase your capacity.
The SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs # SSR-307-47 may be a better choice if you only occasionally need the additional support as they will not cause a harsher ride when you are unloaded. These will also fit all body styles and will fit if you have the factory air suspension on your Ram. The capacity of these springs are 1,500lbs which is lower than the Timbren springs but do remember you are not increasing the your payload capability.
