I want to verify that you are following the correct instructions for your specific remote as there are different instructions for different systems. With the Replacement Remote for Air Lift WirelessONE Compressor System # AL72704, pairing the remote is similar to the process as syncing with the Air Lift smartphone app.
1. To initiate pairing mode, remove the fuse, wait five seconds and reinstall.
2. Press any button to wake up the controller. It will automatically go to the pairing screen if it is not already paired with a manifold. Use the up and down arrow buttons to navigate the pairing menu. Select the device that matches the manifold serial number(I have heard complaints that the remote must be at least 3 feet from the manifold to pair).
3. Use the up and down arrows to choose the manifold. Press • to begin the pairing process.
4. The device will indicate “pairing” when it is connecting to a device. There is no Bluetooth password.
5. Once complete, the controller will either indicate “Pairing successful,” which means the devices are paired, or “Pairing unsuccessful,” which will require the user to pull and reinstall the fuse and try again. Once the wireless controller is connected to the manifold, it will automatically connect each time the manifold is active and the controller is woken up.
If these are the instructions you were following for the remote please let me know and confirm that you are getting the "Pairing unsuccessful" on the remote. Or if you are unable to locate the manifold when attempting to pair.
