Recommended Suspension Enhancement For A 2021 Durango Gold 391RKQ

Question:

In the last month, I purchased a new 2021 Durango Gold 391RKQ. It seems to be experiencing a rough ride with refrigerator shelves being displaced, the screws on the refrigerator door safety lock pulling out, and screws on two blinds pulling out. I am pulling the fifth wheel with a 2021 GMC 2500HD. I have installed air bags on the truck, and have varied the air pressure from 5psi to 75psi, but that has not made any difference in the ride. Things inside the camper seem to be getting scrambled during the ride. I am running 110 psi tire pressure on the camper per manufacturers specs. Do you have any recommendations regarding adjustments to equipment or additional equipment that I can purchase that would make the ride smoother? Thanks,

While traditional leaf springs support your trailer to prevent bottoming out, they don't necessarily provide a comfortable ride. Due to the rigidity of the steel construction, leaf springs do a poor job of absorbing shock and bounce and limiting sway. Because of that I recommend installing the Roadmaster Comfort Ride Shock Absorbers for Tandem Axle Trailers - 5,200-lb to 7,000-lb Axle # RM-2460 on your 2021 Durango Gold 391RKQ.

Adding these shocks to your existing leaf spring suspension offers a better solution. Gas-powered springs inside of the sealed cylinders compress and extend as you drive. The compression and extension of the springs creates enough force to offset the amount of incoming force or vibration that occurs when you tow over rough or uneven terrain. These nitrogen-charged shock absorbers help to eliminate trailer bouncing, chucking, and porpoising which will result in improved front-to-back, side-to-side, and up-and-down movement of your trailer for less sway and better handling.

I've attached a couple of videos that will help walk you through installation and offer some additional information.
