Will Curt Tow Bar Work With Blue Ox Base Plates

2020 jeep cherokee trailhawk. Can the blue ox base plates be used with a curt tow bar without an adapter

Expert Reply:
The # BX1143 base plates will be compatible with a Curt tow bar like the # C26FR Rambler, right out of the box.
In addition to the tow bar, adapters and base plates, you'll also need a taillight wiring harness like part # RM-152-1676-7, a supplemental braking system like the Blue Ox Patriot III, part # BRK2019, safety cables like part # RM-643, and a charge line kit, part # RM-156-25.
If the installed height of the base plates has more than a 3 inch height difference from the hitch height on the motorhome, you'll also need a high/low adapter. I'll link to a help article that explains how to measure the height difference, as well as a link to our selection of high/low adapters.
