Recommended Solution to Fix Nose High 2020 Palomino Puma 5th Wheel
Question:
I have a fifth wheel camper that is nose high on my truck which is a 2015 Silverado 2500 and my hitch is a bandw companion which is adjusted as low as it can go. I’m pretty new to the camping world so my question is on my pin box on my camper can I lower the rear of my pin box without lowering the front of the pin box cause the camper looks as if we connected is nose high from like the hitch to the tailgate. I have attached pics to help show exactly what im talking about. My finger is pointing at the bolts that I’d like to lower a slot if that’s possible. I’m not sure if I can lower the rear of the pin box without lowering the front bolts

I have a solution for you to get your 5th wheel level with your tow vehicle, but trying to adjust the pinbox in the manner you're referring to is not a safe adjustment to make and likely would create a different set of issues.
The best solution for your trailer would be to install a lift kit that would correct your nose high issue.Without knowing your precise model and the capacity of the axles that are on your Palomino Puma 5th wheel, we've previously seen similar Palomino Puma 5th wheels that have 6000-lbs axles, which would be 3 inches in diameter. The easiest option when it comes to lifts for 3 inch round tandem axles is an Over/Under Conversion Kit like the # K71-385-00, which puts the leaf spring pack over the axle instead of under it.
If you can provide the capacity of your axles (found on the axle spec sticker at the center of each axle) and whether or not your spring pack is mounted under or above the axles currently, I can confirm whether or not this kit will work for you.
