The Dexter Trailer Hub Assembly # 8-213-5UC1-EZ would be an excellent choice for your boat trailer as long as the hub will fit on your spindle and the weight capacity is compatible with your trailers axle. There are also a few other factors that we will need to look at to determine if this is the correct hub for your trailer. This hub will perform just as well as a galvanized hub and this type of hub has been used on boat trailers for many years.
The first factors to consider when looking for replacement trailer hubs is the weight capacity and bolt hole pattern of the hub. The Dexter Hub # 8-213-5UC1-EZ that you referenced fits 5,200 lb to 6,000 lb axles and has a 6 on 5-1/2 inch bolt pattern. If you are not sure what the bolt pattern of your current hubs are, I have attached an FAQ article on how to determine your bolt hole pattern for you to check out.
Next, we want to make sure the hub will fit on your spindle. The easiest way to determine this is by using your existing bearing and grease seal part numbers. The part numbers should be stamped into the metal of the bearing and the rubber of the grease seal. I have attached a photo showing where the part numbers should be located.
If you can send me the part numbers of your bearings and seals, along with the weight capacity of your axle and bolt hole pattern of your current hubs, I can determine if this hub or any other hub we carry will work for you.
If you are unable to find the part numbers, then you could also take a few measurements on your spindles. These measurements must be exact so I recommend using a precise measuring tool such as a dial caliper. The photo that I attached showed where you will measure on the spindle. You will basically measure the diameter on the spindle for the inner bearing, outer bearing and grease seal.
