Where is the Factory Connector Located to Install a Brake Controller On a 1996 Ford F-250

Question:

I want very much to purchase and install the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 for my 1996 F250 4xb.4 Super Cab from you. My only real concern is locating the connector plug under the dash for the adapter cable that connects to the brake control unit. My search so far has been unsuccessful. Can you help? I really wan to do this installation myself, correctly and safely? Your help will be greatly appreciated

Expert Reply:

If your 1996 Ford F-250 came with a factory 7-Way or 4-Way trailer connector, then you can use the # 3035-P brake controller harness that you have referenced. To install it locate the factory connector. It is typically located behind the center console and under the dash. But it also could be behind the lower dash panel beneath the steering column. I have linked a video that should help you.
