3-Bike Rack Approved For Use Behind 5th Wheel Trailer
Question:
I see all the hanging type racks for RVs. Is there any platform type that can take 3 bikes?

I checked with the rack manufacturers for you, and can verify there are no platform-style 3-bike racks approved for use behind a 5th wheel trailer, and in fact no 4-bike platform racks either. So in order to use a 3-bike rack behind your 5th wheel trailer, you would indeed need the hanging style.
While I realize it isn't exactly what you are looking for, it is the only option for an approved rack:
- Swagman Original - 3 Bike Rack for 2" Trailer Hitches # S64152-2
This rack will allow you to carry your bikes behind your 5th wheel, and comes with an anti-rattle hitch pin, though you can lock it to your hitch with the Locking Anti-Rattle, Threaded Hitch Pin # S64027.
With a hanging rack, if you plan on carrying kids' bikes or bikes with a step-through or alternative frame you will need to give the bikes a horizontal mounting point by using an adapter, the Bike Frame Adapter Bar # 64005.
