Troubleshooting Trailer Lighting that is Dimly Lit When Connected to Tow Vehicle
Question:
Recently when connecting tow vehicle to RV the RV brake/stop lights come on althought dim, it is a 7 pin round connector to RV, I have remade both plug connections but still same issue. I am waiting on a 7 pin receptacle at RV side that I have oredered from you to see if that is issue. Are there anything other items that you could suggest that might be causing issue?

When there's odd trailer lighting behavior like what you described the issue is almost always a bad ground on the trailer wiring. So what you can do is check the ground from the current connector that runs to the trailer frame and make sure it's connected to a clean metal surface. Or you can also run jumper wires from the ground wires of each assembly back to the main harness and that will improve it as well.
