Are the Shaft and Gear One Solid Piece on the Fulton Replacement Input Shaft Kit

Question:

Does this have an upgraded gear, the one I have is a cast gear that breaks with 2 clips that hold it on. Just wondering if Fulton has changed the gear design to the laminated steel one piece gear and shaft design like the old winches had? Thanks

The Replacement Input Shaft Kit for Fulton Hand Winches # F501134 is the same as the one you are describing, held in place with the 2 clips. I spoke with my contact at Fulton and there are different part numbers for the shaft and the gear as far as they know this is not one solid piece. It is assembled before it is packaged but before that the shaft and the gears are separate.
