Will My Bikes Stick Out Of The Side If I Use The Ladder Mounted Bike Rack.

Question:

If the ladder on the rear of my 5th wheel is attached close to the side of the trailer, won’t the bikes stick out no matter how they’re mounted?

Depending on how close to the corner your ladder is, yes. There will be some part of the bike that sticks out from your Surco 2 Bike Carrier for Vans and RVs - Ladder Mount # SP501BR.

We can do a few things to help with this, removing the seats and or wheels will decrease the area sticking out. I understand this will be time consuming and tedious to perform every time though.

On the product page we do have several customer submitted pictures of this rack installed and in use and some do stick out as you will be able to see. If this is the case be sure to put a safety device or a bright colored cloth or flag on the over hanging part so it is seen easier by you and others.
