Can the 24" Extension for etrailer Bumper Mounted RV Cargo Carrier Be Used As a Standalone

Question:

I saw others also asking if this can be used standalone, and saw that it is not recommended due to instability with having only only one bracket. We are looking for a foldable tray this size to hold an inflatable kayak in its bag, and a few camp chairs about 50-60 lbs max. Would this work for us? Or could we purchase spare arms that we would attach to add more support? I could not find any other foldable small size rack. Thank you!

I do have an option for you but the 24" Extension for etrailer Bumper Mounted RV Cargo Carrier part # e99052 can't be used as a standalone. The support would not be sufficient and there would be no way to attach more brackets. The best option you have is a traditional cargo carrier which are a bit bigger like the 24x60 etrailer Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches part # e98874 that does fold. You'd then need the Buyers Products RV Bumper Receiver Hitch part # 337RVA24 to attach it. This is your best and really only feasible option.
