Are The Clips On My CIPA Towing Mirror Broken?
Question:
It seems like flat edge of the clip should be inside the clip, not outside. I don’t want to force the clip. I don’t see how this works on a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee as your YouTube video indicates. See photo.

The clips on your CIPA Universal Fit Towing Mirrors # 40375-2 are correct. The images on the product page show the clips with the inner tooth on the outside of the hook.
Move the lower jaw piece away and down from the actual hook it will not be touching or connected to the upper jaw or hook while installed on your 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
