We have brake controllers that will work with your 2020 Chrysler Pacifica. If you have do not have a factory tow package you will need to add a few parts to your vehicle. You will need the following items:
T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part # 118712
Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat - 10 Gauge Wires. part # ETBC7
Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 3 Axles - Proportional, part # RED44FR
You will start with the T-One Wiring Harness to add a 4-way connector to your vehicle. Once that is done, you will use the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller to convert your 4-way flat to a 7-way RV connection. Remember this kit is not custom for your vehicle, so you will have to splice in the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brakes, for this installation. Once this installed you can finish the setup with the brake controller.
This brake controller works with electric brakes and electric over hydraulic brakes without doing any adjustments inside your vehicle. It automatically adjusts your trailer's brakes based on the deceleration of your tow vehicle or in proportion to the braking action of your vehicle. This brake controller hardwires directly into your vehicle's wiring and then plugs into the main unit. The controller will mount out of sight and any angle, with the accelerometer. The only thing that indicates you have a brake controller in your vehicle is the control knob.
If you have a factory tow package you would substitute the Plug-and-Play Wiring Harness for Redarc Tow-Pro Trailer Brake Controllers, part # RED77FR, for the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller. The plug and play unit does not require any splicing of wires.
The 2020 Chrysler Pacifica does have a hybrid option. If you have the hybrid you will need to use a different wiring harness. I recommend the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness w/ 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector and Installation Kit, part # 119250KIT. This harness adds a 4-way connector without any additional splicing. Once it is installed, you would add the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Brake Controller.
I have included product description links, a couple of installation videos, a demo video, and a video review of the Redarc Tow-Pro Controller below.
