What Tire Pressure Should Trailer Tires Be Run At?

Question:

What tire pressure would you suggest for a Carlisle sport trail tire ST205/75D15 on a 5foot by 10foot utility trailer with a load of 700 - 1100 LBS?

The psi rating for a tire should be noted on the sidewall of said tire, but as we do not carry the Carlisle brand, I cannot say what they should be run at. Especially as different load ranges and radial vs bias ply will all have different capacities at different pressures.

As an example, the Provider ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range C # TTWTRTM2057515C will have a max capacity of 1,820 pounds at 50 psi and the Westlake ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range D # LHWL300 will have a max capacity of 2,150 pounds at 65 psi. Both these tires are the exact same size, but the Load Range makes them very different.

With that being said, if the psi rating has worn off the sidewall, or cannot be located, I strongly suggest that you contact Carlisle with the tire size and Load Range off the sidewall of your tires. I included a help article for you to check out that should help locate this information as well.
