Can I Put a Yakima SlimShady on Roof Rack with Rocketbox and Kayak Carrier Already Installed

Question:

I use a Yakima Rocketbox. If I move the Rocketbox in towards the center of the roof and put the shade on the outside, will I be able with a ladder, to reach over the shade and open the Box, or will the shade partly cover the Box and be unale to unlock the lBox to access? Cant put it on the other side because I have a Hullavator for my kayak attached to that side.

The only thing that would keep you from using a Yakima SlimShady Awning - Roof Rack Mount - Clamp On - 42 Sq Ft # Y36VR on a roof rack with a Rocketbox and Hullavator is the amount of bar space you've got. The SlimShady awning is only sits about 6" above the tops of the crossbars, so you shouldn't have much trouble accessing the Rocketbox; whether or not you'll be able to access the lock depends on how much space you've got between the two.

I don't forsee any issues with this and many of our neighbors use setups like this, but it will depend on how much space you've got on your bars with the other two mounted.
