Turn Signals Cut Out With Running Lights On Trailers With New Tail Lights
Question:
Hi, Im having a similar issue with my 2004 Thor distribution l citation travel trailer. I replaced my back passenger side tail/brake/signal light with an led one that i got From etrailer. The blinker works when running lights are off. But doesnt when they are on. I just replaced the 7 way connector and cleaned the ground connection to the frame....still no luck. I have rechecked and tried different combos for the wiring of the tail light itself, but nothing is working. Any recommendations?

If the turn or stop light stops working with the running light activated then this indicates a weak ground. I am not sure what type of ground the tail light uses but I recommend running the ground wire from the light to the main trailer ground to see if that fixes the issues. The main trailer ground needs to be to the frame and to bare metal. The trailer connector ground should be attached to the main trailer ground.
