Are the Replacement Caliper for Titan 10 Brakes # K71-773-01 EOH Compatible

Question:

I have a triple axle pontoon boat trailer with Kodiak 225 brakes on the two rear axles, using a Hydrastar EOH actuator. I am considering replacing the Kodiak 225 calipers with Dexter/UFP DB-35 calipers, similar identical? to this model, K71-773-01. The reason for the switch is due to the particular geometry of the trailer - the lower bolt that attaches the caliper to the mounting bracket is in constant contact with the spring pack at all four wheels, and the upper bolt shows obvious signs of crashing into the trailer frame damage/rust on frame, deformation of bolt heads. The drivers side is particularly bad as the contact with the spring pack has forced the caliper outward resulting in the inner pad being completely consumed so the pad backing plate is in contact with the rotor. Due to this, the inside face of the rotor has been shaved to just over 1/2 its original thickness, while the outside pad has 3/8inch remaining. Since I cannot seem to find an caliper mounting bracket with the ability to rotate the caliper by 30-45 degrees, my options are to mount the Kodiak 225 caliper at the 6 oclock position would prefer not to as it exposed the brake lines to damage or switch to a different caliper that mounts directly to the axle no bracket. The only caliper I can find that does this is the Dexter/UFP DB-35 K71-773-01. But I cannot find the specs for the caliper. Most set-ups are surge brakes, and I want to ensure the DB-35 is EOH compatible due to the higher pressure of the EOH actuator.

According to the manufacturer the Replacement Caliper for Titan 10" Brakes # K71-773-01 is rated for use with EOH systems.

Since your current brake set up is causing damage to your rotors it may not be a bad idea to replace your brake set up. The Kodiak Disc Brake Kit # K2HR35D will provide you with everything needed to replace your current brake set up.
