Two Bike Rack For An Aventon 350 Medium And A Trek Verve Electric Bike
Question:
I have an Aventon 350 medium and my biking parter has a Trek Verve electric bike. I am wondering if this Chinook Swagman will work for our two bikes. How does it attach to the frame of a step through or do I need to get a part that creates a cross bar while transporting?

Expert Reply:
The Swagman Chinook Bike Rack for 2 Bikes # S64683, has a combined weight capacity of 90lbs or 45lbs each bike. The combined weight of your two bikes is 97lbs, making the Swagman Chinook bike rack not strong enough to support your bikes.
However, the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes # HLY84FR has a combined weight capacity of 160lbs or 80lbs each bike, giving you the correct support required.
When transporting a step through, women's, children's or alternative frame bike you will need to use an adapter bar like the Swagman Deluxe Bike Frame Adapter Bar # 64005, this will create a crossbar so you can safely and properly secure your bikes to your bike rack.
