Adding Electric Trailer Brakes to 2009 Jayco Jay Series

Question:

Here we go... found the GAWR on another sticker. This means it's a 2000lb capacity axle, right? If that's the case, that should be all the pieces we need. 4 on 4 bolt pattern, 2000lb capacity axle. Should I be able to snag parts for that?

Thanks for the picture of your axle as I can see a brake mounting flange which means brakes can be added. Now what we have to do next is determine you axle capacity so we can pick out the correct hub/drums and then from there the correct brake assemblies.

Also, what trailer wiring does your Sienna have? You'll need a brake controller to control the trailer's brakes.

Perfect. Since we know you have a 2,000 lb axle that means for brake assemblies you'd want the # AKEBRK-2 and then for hub drums you'd want the # 8-257-5UC3. There isn't a 4 lug bolt pattern for this axle capacity with a drum though. So you might need new wheels. Which let me know what size tires you have and I'll be able to help with that.
