Question:

Could I use this rack to haul the above boat on a 6 ft bed?

Theoretically as long as your 14 foot long aluminum boat doesn't weigh more than 800-lbs and wider than 65" across then you could use the Thule TracRac TracONE Truck Bed Ladder Rack # TH27000XT on your 2003 GMC Sierra with a 6 foot bed. There is also the T-Rac Pro2 Truck Bed Ladder Rack for Full-Size Pickups # TH37002XT which has a 1000-lbs capacity and 69" long crossbars, so it has a higher capacity and a bit more space.

With all of that said, I don't know that using a ladder rack to carry a boat that size is going to be the best and safest solution for carrying your boat. Instead, I recommend taking a look at the CE Smith Multi Sport Plus Boat and Kayak Trailer w/ Bunks - 12" Wheels - 14' Boat - 800 lbs # CE48870. This trailer would be a safer option that's still relatively cost effective and provides you with a nice solution to bring your boat with you wherever you need to go; assuming that you're not already towing something else it would be the best way to go.

I've linked some review videos of these parts for you to check out as well.
