Can the Lippert Motor LC196308 Replace a Worn Out LCI PN 142178?

Question:

I have a 2020 Wolfpack 365 Pack16. From the beginning, I have had trouble with the front landing gear motor being able to lift off of my tow vehicle. Sometimes it will make it and other times will get almost there and the motor will start clicking and no longer lift. It has blown a fuse in the past but mainly just overheats the motor. It has the LCI PN 142178 on it currently will the 196308 give better lifting power and fit without any modifications? I am fairly confident that the motor is trashed because of the clicking and the fact that it gets too hot to touch.

The Lippert HD 6500-lbTuson 5th Wheel RV Landing Gear Motor # LC196308 will indeed fit your landing gear without modification. It will have the same bolt pattern as the # LC142178 you currently have, but will definitely have a higher capacity.

If you are replacing the motor, it may not also hurt to replace the gearbox, just in case. If you decide to, the Replacement Gearbox for Electric 5th Wheel RV Landing Gear Assemblies # LC276602 will be a direct replacement.
