Will Progressive Dynamics Inteli-Power RV Converter PD9160ALV Get Warm to Touch
Question:
I installed the PD9160ALV with two Lion Safari batteries today in a 35 ft 5th wheel. I replaced the stock 55 amp converter and single lead acid battery. I put the new converter in the same location as the old, probably 10-15 feet away from the batteries. The batteries do not come fully charged so I assume the the converter is warm to the tough since it is working to fully charge the two batteries. Would that be correct? The fan is kicking on occasionally. Also will I get a full charge on these batteries even though they are not that close to the converter? Thanks

The Progressive Dynamics Inteli-Power RV Converter and Battery Charger # PD9160ALV has a built in fan as well as large heat sinks on the back of it to dissipate heat so it would get warm to the touch when in use.
Yes this will fully charge your batteries even though they are 10 foot away roughly.
