Availability Of Kayak Rack For Exterior Wall Of Enclosed Trailer

I am looking for a kayak rack for my enclosed cargo trailer. I have 2-12.5ft Hobie Compass kayaks. I need something that will attach to the Exterior walls, maybe one on each side or both on same side. If you have something that folds back or is easily removable that could be a plus. I will secure and lock them to the racks to prevent them from falling off while traveling. Hope you can help me PLEASE with any thoughts and suggestions. Thank you

While there are not any kayak racks specifically made to attach to the exterior wall of an enclosed trailer, the Malone YakSwing Fold Away Kayak Storage System # MPG383 could possibly work for you. This attaches to a wall and provides a large J-style carrier for one kayak. Several people have used this on the inside of an enclosed trailer with good luck, so it could work for the exterior wall although we have not tested it in this manner.

Since we have not confirmed that the Malone YakSwing will work on the outside of an enclosed trailer, I think your best and safest route is to install a roof rack like Rack'em Fitz-All Enclosed Trailer Ladder Rack # RA-28. Then you can put the kayaks directly on top of the crossbars or for more security you can add the Malone Deluxe Kayak Carrier with Tie-Downs - Foam Block Style - 18" # MPG152 to help secure the kayak to the crossbars.
