Park Brake Feature of The Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller

Question:

Im purchasing a controller for a 2013 Honda Pilot Touring with a factory installed towing package. I get that Tow-Pro Liberty is for two axles has no time delay system and the Elite handles 3 axles and has delay capabilities, but Prodigy P2 or P3 advertise there controllers having a system which minimizes trailer brake over heating when idling in stop and go traffic where the trailer brakes cut out after some sort of time system. How does tow-pro handle this or am I wrong about the Prodigy product? Ive heard nothing regarding it in the technical video talks. Lee

That sounds like the park brake feature covered in section 3.5 of the installation instructions for the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller item # RED24FR. The Plug-and-Play Wiring Harness for Redarc Tow-Pro Trailer Brake Controllers item #RED59FR allows you to install the Liberty brake controller to your 2013 Honda Pilot without splicing any wires.

Park Brake Feature taken directly from the instructions:

If the Tow-Pro® Liberty detects that the vehicle brakes are applied for longer than 3
seconds whilst the vehicle is stationary, it will apply the trailer brakes in an intelligent
manner to reduce the required braking effort whilst decreasing the risk of rolling
forward or backward whilst stopped. If the controller determines the trailer brakes
are not required to keep the vehicle stationary, the output will be decreased to Zero.
