Kenda K25 ST145R12 Trailer Tire Weight Capacity and Tire Pressure Recommendation

Question:

Hi, I have a small, very light trailer that I pull with my motorcycle. Im looking at a tire/wheel combo but, this is only available in load range D for my size. Firstly Is there any reason to avoid using tires rated for significantly more weight than they will ever carry? Secondly should these tires be inflated to maximum pressure or be run at reduced pressure proportionate to the load they will carry?

The Kenda KR25 Radial Trailer Tire with 12" Aluminum HWT Black Wheel # AM31208HWTB will create a very bouncy ride with your motorcycle trailer. These tires are rated for 1,220lbs each so they are not going to flex under the weight of your trailer.

Kenda recommends that these tires are inflated to a cold pressure of 65psi at all times regardless of load.
