2" Hitch Receiver Adapter For Raising The Receiver To Ensure That A Cargo Carrier Does Not Drag
Question:
I have a cargo carrier that I want to raise so it doesn’t hit the ground going over bumps off curbs etc.. I don’t need the 2nd 2 inch port for hauling a trailer and I do not need the 1 1/4 reduction. Basically looking for exact same device but in 2 inch on both ends. Is that available without buying the one with the extra receiver? I don’t want to buy another cargo carrier with a raised bar if I can avoid it.

I have a couple options for you to consider for hauling a Cargo Carrier # CC-100 higher on your 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe.
First the Roadmaster High-Low Adapter # RM-048-6 can be used to raise your receiver height 6". This adapter will be limited to only 200lbs of tongue weight as it is designed for flat towing where there is generally no tongue weight. Since you would be using it with a cargo carrier its maximum rating of 400lbs drops 50%.
Next is the Replacement Shank for Gen-Y Adjustable Ball Mount # 325-GH-503. This one has multiple shanks that will give you a 2-1/2" or 5" rise. This is a very heavy duty adapter that is rated for tongue weights up to 2,000lbs, be sure not to exceed your Santa Fe maximum hitch rating.
