Question:
I have the 50 Amp Smart RV Surge protector. Im currently mooch docking at a friends house and connected via orange extension cord. Should I be using my surge protector? Would it be worthwhile? Let me know why or why not. Thank you.

Expert Reply:
The Surge Protectors like the # HU87FR are designed to protect the RV's wiring and electronics so if your RV uses 50 amp power there would be no need to run additional surge protection beyond that.
