Tow Bar Lighting Kit That Fits 2018 Ford Edge

Question:

with the hopkins hm56011 on my 2018 ford edge 2.7 L ecoboost awd, will I need any additional resistors or diodes or brake light relays to flat tow my edge behind my motorhome? it will have a breaking system also. sm99251 is what is recommended since i do not have air brakes on my motorhome. I`m trying to get all my pieces lined up before i start my install. thank you

The Hopkins Tow Bar Lighting Kit part # HM56011 is a confirmed fit for the Sport and Titanium models of your 2018 Ford Edge but not the other models. If you have one of the other models you'd need a diode kit like the part # DM9523010-54.

For your tow vehicle that does not have air brakes the DUO part # SM99251 that you mentioned would be a great option. Our installers prefer this system to all of the other permanent install options because of how well it works and how much easier it is to install.
