Availability of Swagman E-Spec Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes
Question:
Any chance you have any idea on when e-Spec rack will become available again? I need one for my fifth wheeler. Looks like Swagman is either not making them or supply chain is broken like everybody else. I see you mention October, but the Swagman site says otherwise. By any chance would have an alternate choice for carrying two 55lb fat tire bikes behind a 39 foot fifth wheel rv? I can take the batteries out and reduce weight even further. Thanks.

The Swagman E-Spec Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes, # S94FR is still available and we are filling current orders as quickly as possible.
E-bikes are challenging in that the frames are sometimes unusually shaped and frequently heavy. Combine that with needing a bike rack that is 5th wheel rated and you have narrowed the selection greatly. I prefer the platform type rack for this application. In this option we have the Swagman E-Spec Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes which is a great option for 5th wheel RV's that want to take their electric bikes along. The E-Spec comes with a 2" shank, can carry 2 bikes weighing up to 70 lb. each with a max tire width of 3". However, there is an optional fat tire kit available with the Fat Tire Adapter Kit # S64679 that allows up to 5" wide tires. This bike rack has a folding feature but comes with hardware to disable this feature for more rigidity when used on a 5th wheel or travel trailer.
We have some hanging type bike racks that are rated for 5th wheel use such as the Swagman Original - 3 Bike Rack for 2" Trailer Hitches, # S64152-2 but this does not meet your needed weight rating for the bike even you remove the battery.
