Comparing the Swagman 2+2 and the XTC4 Bike Racks

Question:

Any written comparison of 2+2 vs. xtc4? I read the 2+2 vs. Quad and it was very helpful.

The two biggest differences between the Swagman XTC-4 # S64665 and the Swagman 2 + 2 # S64FR that I would consider the most would be weight and ability to convert to a 2-bike rack.

The 2+2 weighs 86 lbs, but has the ability to be converted down to just a bike rack if needed, whereas the XTC4 weighs 65 lbs but cannot be converted to a 2-bike rack.

Other things to consider is that the XTC4 has narrower wheel cradles and the main shaft of the rack is at an angle to allow the bikes to be loaded at different heights, whereas the 2+2 has very wide cradles to accommodate various size bikes and has a level main shaft.

The XTC4 also has a limit of 35 lbs per bike loaded and the 2+2 is can accommodate 45 lbs per bike.

I attached a review video for the XTC4 for you to check out also.

I attached a page that shows these racks compared side by side for you to check out also.
