How Does Redarc Tow Pro Brake Controller Install in 2017 Chevy Express Van with Tow Package
Question:
Is there a plug and play harness for my van

Expert Reply:
Your 2017 Chevy Express van does not have a brake controller pre-wiring port/connector so there isn't a plug and play harness for your 2017 Chevy Express Van to install the Redarc Tow Pro # RED44FR.
Vehicles with the 7-Way tow package have the blue output brake wire already ran from the back to the front. It is located under the dash near the emergency brake pedal.
If your vehicle has a round plug with a cap inside the driver's side frame rail instead of a bundle of wires in the jack storage compartment, use part # 30955.
Some models will require a wiring kit to run wire to the battery. This may require drilling a hole in the firewall to run the wire. You may use kit # 5506 which includes 20, 30, and 40 amp breakers. This covers the black and white wires. The red wire would run to the brake pedal switch circuit that carries 12 volts when the brakes are applied.
