Does 2021 Ram 2500 with OEM Rail Kit Need to Use Slider Fifth Wheel Hitch
Question:
With the RAM factory Puck System and a 6.5 inch bed, do I need the sliding hitch combo. If not what would you recommend. Thank you!

If the trailer you plan to tow is newer and has a tapered nose you wouldn't need to use a slider hitch in the bed of your 2021 Ram 2500 with the OEM rail kit since your short bed is on the longer side compared to other short beds and because the newer fifth wheels with tapered noses were designed to provide short bed turning clearance.
You could get by with a fixed hitch like the B and W Companion part # BWRVK3600 which is widely considered to be the nicest hitch out there due to how quiet and smooth it is, how easy it is to use, and how well it lasts over time.
Otherwise we do have a slider version of this hitch with the part # BWRVK3670.
