Is the Mighty Cord 7-Way RV Style to 5-Way Flat Trailer Connector Adapter Vehicle Specific
Question:
Are all 7 way to 4 or 5 pin adapters the same or are they vehicle specific? My bass boat trailer is a 4 pin flat and have dont have the running lights. I got brake lights and turn signals but no tail lights or side marker lights. Im using an adapter that I had for a GM truck.

Expert Reply:
The Mighty Cord 7-Way RV Style to 5-Way Flat Trailer Connector Adapter part # A10-7275VP and similar adapters are universal and not vehicle specific. Therefore, it will work the same on a Ford as it does a Ram or Chevy. If you have issues when switching vehicles you'll want to review the wiring and check the fuses on the vehicle.
