Can Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera be Wired so that it is On More than Just Reverse

I hve battery in truck can I run the back wires to it steady hooking it up to the Reverse wires

If you ran the activation circuit of the Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera kit part # HM50002 to the positive terminal of your truck battery instead of the reverse light circuit you'd have the camera on all the time even when vehicle is off. If you wanted a way to use the camera more than just when the vehicle is in reverse you could wire it instead to the running light circuit of the taillights which would allow you to turn on headlights or running lights to turn on the camera.
