Recommended Rear Suspension Enhancement For 2020 Ford F-250 4WD Lowered 2
Question:
I want to remove the 2” block/ jounce stop to lowerlevel my 2020 F250 4wd crew cab. Then to haul my gooseneck horse trailer, I want a 5000 air bag to handle the 3000 lb payload. Will your lower bracket work setting directly on the axle?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Spring # F35FV you were looking at for your 2020 Ford F-250 4WD is designed for trucks at the factory ride height and will not work once you lower it 2" by removing the factory 2" lift block. If you choose to lower your truck you will not be able to run any air helper springs as none are designed to work on lowered trucks.
Instead your best bet would be going with the RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit - Heavy Duty # RAS3611-SLHD if your truck has upper overload springs, or the # RAS3611-SHD if your truck does NOT have upper overload springs. Both of these kits attach directly to your leaf spring and will not be affected by you removing the lift block while still offering 3000lbs of load level support like you were wanting for your gooseneck trailer.
I included a video of the RAS kit for you to take a look at.
