Circuit Tester to Diagnose Shorts in Electric Trailer Brakes

Replaced the electric brakes on stock trailer Brake controller Message brakes shorted no brakes rechecked and same message

It sounds like you have a short somewhere which is causing your trailer brakes to not work. You will need to go through and check all of the wiring for faults. I recommend using a Circuit Tester like the item # PTW2992. It will help you to identify shorts in your wiring.
