Will the Saris Bones 2 Fit on a 2013 Ford Mustang Convertible

Question:

Will this carrier mount on that car ? Can it carry 2 adult bikes? I was told I needed a hitch mounted and then purchase a carrier that mates to a 1 1/4 receiver - is that necessary?

To answer the last question first- is a hitch mounted bike rack necessary? No; and there are trunk mounted options available for your Mustang convertible. Typically hitch mounted bike racks give you the best carrying capacity, so if you're carrying e-bikes or something that's heavier than around 35-lbs per bike they provide the only solution available.
