Connecting To The Reverse Wiring Circuit For A 7-Way Blade Connection On A 2008 Honda Ridgeline
Question:
Recently purchased a 7 pin adapter from your company. I would like to connect the back up lights for a RV trailer. What color wire on the vehicle do I need to connect to the yellow wire on the adapter? I’ve connected the 12v black wire to the battery using a 30A/12V inline circuit breaker. Are there instructions to add the solenoid to control the lights on my adapter?

The reverse wire on your 2008 Honda Ridgeline appears to be the green wire with a black stripe that goes into your tail lights. Be sure to use a Test Light # PTW2993 to verify this before taping into the wire.
You can use the Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit # RM-88400 to protect the vehicle wiring by using a relay to power the trailer lights through your Curt Adapter 4 Pole to 7 Pole # C57674. Using the wiring diagram that I have attached you will substitute the brake light connections for the reverse light connections on your Ridgeline.
Green wire from relay to green/black reverse light wire
White wire from relay to ground connection
Red wire from relay to 12 volt power battery connection
Black wire from relay to yellow wire of Curt 7-way adapter.
