Troubleshooting Running Lights Fuse Failing When Hauling Travel Trailer
Question:
So my running lights on my travel trailer blow my 20amp fuse in my dodge 3500. But fuse doesnt blow when pluged into my work trailer. Where is the problem. Is it separate wiring for running lights? Could the wires be exposed somewhere on travel trailer so when driving it hits frame somewhere and shorts out?

It does sound like you do have an issue with the wiring on your travel trailer shorting to ground causing the fuse in your Dodge Ram 3500 to fail. As it can be very hard to follow all the wiring in a travel trailer through the walls and along the frame to find a damaged wire I recommend using a Multimeter # PT29ZR to check for continuity along the trailer running lights wire (typically brown wire) for continuity with ground circuit. You will need to remove all the running light bulbs to break the connection for the bulbs.
As you may have an intermittent issue you may need to expose as much of the wiring as possible to test different parts of the wiring to narrow down what area you do have the issue. The best places to check are where the wiring passes through any body work and has a chance of chaffing if not properly protected.
