Location of Brake Controller Adapter Harness on 2013 Toyota Tacoma with Hand Brake
Question:
2013 tacoma does not have emergency brake pedalinch nor does it have parking brake pedal. It has handle that you pull out on right side of steering wheel. To engage parking brake. You twist it down clockwise to release. I cannot find brake controller plug on my truck with tow package.

Regardless of which type of emergency brake control you've got on your 2013 Toyota Tacoma (foot pedal or hand brake), the brake controller adapter plug will be tucked up behind the kick plate on the driver's side. I've linked an installation video of the Tekonsha Primus IQ # 90885 using the # 3040-P brake controller adapter plug for you to take a look at; it's possible that the harness you're looking for is tucked back behind some wire looms but if the truck came with the factory towing package then it will be there in that area because all of the wires it will need to connect to are located in that area. The other place you can check is behind the actual brake pedal itself and you can test the harness for power using a circuit tester like the # PTW2993 to test the pins for power when the brake pedal is pressed.
