BAKFlip G2 Hard Tonneau Cover Compatibility With Bed Rail Caps On A 2005 Ford Ranger Regular Cab STX

Is it possible to retain the bedside caps or would I have to remove them? Do you see a way they could be modified to fit with the Backflip?

The BAKFlip G2 Hard Tonneau Cover # BAK26305 is going to sit partially over the bed rails so the caps you currently have on your 2005 Ford Ranger will have to be removed to install this tonneau cover. The # BAK26305 clamps onto the inside of your truck bed side rails so if you may also need to trim the liner you have going over the side of the bed rails as well.
