Adding a 7 Way plug and brake controller to your 2007 Jeep Wrangler will require a pre-existing 4 Flat, like the Tekonsha # 118416, but will not be overly difficult to do.
Our Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat # ETBC7 will piggyback off your 4 Flat plug and get you up to the needed 7 Way. You will not lose the 4 Flat connection, though, as this does have a separate 4 Flat on the side. Installing the # ETBC7 will require running some wires up to the battery and then into the cab of the vehicle, but I did include an install video we did of this on a 2004 Wrangler that will be the same as your 2007.
From here, you will need the controller. We do have quite a few options available for this, but I highly recommend the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller # RED44FR. This will have one of the cleanest looks once installed as only the adjustment knob will be visible. I included an install video of this as well.
