The TempMinder Wireless Thermometer and Hygrometer # MRI-822MX manufacturer recommends placing the sensor out of direct sunlight for an accurate reading. Kind of like how when you leave your car in the hot sun the temperature gauge will show a lot higher and will slowly drop to an accurate reading as you drive. If you have an awning on your trailer I recommend placing it under the shade of the awning to help keep the sensor accurate.
