Best Running Board Options For A 2022 Ford F-350

Question:

Hello, I am looking for sturdy running boards for my 2022 Ford F350 Crew Cab w/ 8foot Bed. I would prefer wheel-to-wheel but have not had any luck finding ones that I like and believe wont get slippery when winter rain, snow, and Ive hit I am disabled and have a deformity in my legs which makes me VERY prone to slipping. I am open to the idea of having them sprayed with spray-on bedliner material, if they are constructed in a way that would make that possible. All that said, I like Items # AA2555048, # 28-71090, and the Aries ActionTrac Motorized Running Boards with Custom Installation Kit - LED Lights. I searched fit boards for a 2021, even though I have a 2022, as I find many items are not yet approvedinch fur the 2022 model year. I like that the first and last of the three hold 500 and 600 lbs respectively, as I am a big guy. I like the wider depth of the second, and the 2 steps of the Aries. Do any of these come in a wheel-to-wheel option? Based on the information I have given, what recommendations can you make?

After a bunch of research I have some options for you and of course my recommendation. My uncle is in the same situation as you so I totally understand the importance of getting the right step. If you're really wanting a wheel to wheel running board you have two options. Either the Westin HDX # 56-5340252 or the Westin PRO TRAXX # 21-534655. They both are going to be as sturdy, but the HDX does have superior grip. That being said, if you wanted a true wheel to wheel running board, the HDX is going to be the best choice. It uses the metal as a grip unlike the PRO TRAXX which just has saddle pads. The one thing that you may not like about the HDX running boards is that they have three spots to put your feet unlike the AdvantEdge Nerf Bars # AA2555048 you said you liked.

Of the running boards you liked, the AdvantEdge # AA2555048 boards will have the most grip throughout the whole board. That being said, I don't think that those are your best options when it comes to grip. I like the metal running boards with powder coated fishes to them. They look good, won't ware down over time and they give you grip everywhere and not just on the pads. I liked these Aries Rocker Steps # AA2074120, good grip, sturdy and they look great! If I were in your situation though, I would want as much grip as possible. So, I recommend getting the Aries RidgeStep Running Boards # AA2055519 because they have holes punched in the board to give you even more grip than the powder coat gives you. Also, it's throughout the whole board so you have 91 inches of usable traction. That's my suggestion!
