Can Trailer Taillight Run Ground Wire Directly to Aluminum Trailer Frame
Question:
I have an aluminum trailer and need to replace the harness end that plugs into my truck. Can the ground wire just be attached right onto the aluminum trailer ?

Aluminum doesn't conduct electricity well enough to run ground wires directly to it like with the taillight part # 30-92-001 that you referenced. You'd want to run a jumper wire from the assembly to the main ground wire of the trailer to ensure the ground is sufficient.
